Uncle Jellyroll is a Portland based duo consisting of MC Shoehorn on sax/clarinet/harmonica/vocals/tap dancing, and Doug Shafer on guitar and vocals. They also perform together in Smut City Jellyroll Society. The main musical genre is old jazz and blues along with Appalachian fiddle tunes (without the fiddle), traditional and original instrumental tunes, and songs by more contemporary bands like the Pogues and Dan Hicks. The music is fun, lively, and great for dancing or just listening.
