Announcing our first dance competition!!!
THE SLOW DOWN THROW DOWN!
A swing dance competition… but make it SASSY.
We’re bringing something new to Slow Ass Swing Social (SASS) — a fun, friendly competition that celebrates musicality, connection, and pure groove. This isn’t about speed or tricks — it’s about style, expression, and that delicious slow swing flavor.
Any style welcome — Lindy Hop, West Coast, Slow Drag, Fusion, whatever moves you.
A 3 song strictly throwdown! Come with a partner or find one at the social
Judges will be watching for creativity, groove, and connection (not just fancy footwork).
$20 per couple to sign up
$100 cash and 2 tickets to Stormy Weather!
Stormy Weather is a Lindy Hop and Jazz Dance festival in Seattle, WA focused on exceptional live music, community engagement, and artistry that expands the bounds of jazz dance while honoring the history and tradition of the form.
